LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) -- The TSA says they're seeing a major increase in guns found at the Louisville International Airport.

So far this year, they've recovered 10 weapons at the security checkpoint.

All but one gun was loaded.

At this time last year, they found five.

Firearms are allowed in checked bags as long as they are unloaded, in a proper case and you tell the airline about it.

Guns are never allowed in carry-on bags.

When a weapon is found, the TSA contacts police, who decide if the person should be charged.
