LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) -- Susan Lukjan, the woman convicted of intentionally burning down her St. Matthews business, was formally sentenced Tuesday.
This was Lukjan’s second trial. She was found guilty in the first one, but that conviction was overturned on appeal. This time around, she was convicted on charges of arson, burning personal property to defraud insurer, and insurance fraud.
Lukjan was sentenced to five years probation Tuesday. If during the five years she violates her probation she will have to serve out 15 years in prison. As part of the plea deal, Lukjan has agreed not to appeal her conviction.
