(WHAS11)-- The summer heat brought severe thunderstorms on Saturday night.
As the storms rolled into the area, some damage was reported. In Irvington, there are reports of power lines down and trees blocking streets. There were reports of hail in Shepherdsville, Ky.
There were two reports of blown transformers in Louisville, one at the Fegenbush Lane and Burnt Pine Way intersection and the other at Applegate Lane and Joyce Drive.
At the peak of outages, LG&E-KU reported over 21,000 customers without power in Jefferson County. As of 4:38 a.m. there are still nearly 11,000 without power.
Other counties in Kentucky reported moderate to minor outages and most have been returned to power. Hardin County had the second most outages in Kentucky with over 5,600 at it's peak.
In Indiana, Duke Energy reported minor outages across the area. Lawrence County had nearly 1,250 customers without power at it's peak and Clark County had over 530 without power.
