LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) – A week after their successful annual picnic, St. Joseph’s Childrens Home hosted another event in ode to food.
Local food trucks from vendors including Jam Pan, Lil’ Cheezers and Hole Mole Taco Truck served some of their best dishes to patrons to benefit the organization.
“They mentioned that a portion of the proceeds goes back to the orphanage and we thought that was a great mission. It’s also a chance to talk to people about local food and what local producers have to offer,” Joshua Orr of Root Cellar said.
The mini farmers market included local products from the Root Cellar, Lowe Creek Farm and Rocko’s Rewards.
The event was free and a portion of the sales benefits St. Joseph’s Children’s Home.
