LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) – The spring meet at Churchill Downs is officially in the books.
38-days of racing at the track wrapped up Sunday night.
Churchill Downs says the meet drew near-record crowds for the Kentucky Derby and Kentucky Oaks while Downs After Dark also proved popular.
New additions this spring included the massive video board and renovations to the Rooftop and Grandstand Terrace.
Racing for the fall meet begins September 5.
