FORT KNOX, Ky. (WHAS11) – For the next two weeks, federal employees at Fort Knox will be getting furlough notices as part of the federal spending cuts.
Thousands of federal employees who work at Ft. Knox and Ft. Campbell on the Tennessee state line could face up to 22 unpaid days off.
The days would be taken between April and September.
The military say those unpaid days off will result in a salary reduction and a federal savings of $32 million.
