Louisville, Ky. (WHAS11) - The trial for a Southern Indiana man accused of murdering his ex-wife and attempting to kill their daughter began on May 13.
James Sowder's trial began Tuesday morning in Jennings County.
He was arrested in 2012 for the murder of his ex-wife Candice Sowder. She was found dead with a gunshot wound on the porch of a home in North Vernon.
Her daughter, 42-year-old Regina Johnson, was found shot in the head. She was taken to the hospital where she recovered.
