LOUISVILLE, Ky. (AP) -- The National Weather Service says some parts of Kentucky have gotten up to 4 inches of snow as wintry weather continues to move across the state.
Meteorologist Ryan Sharp says snowfall totals are still being gathered, but the National Weather Service in Louisville got 3 inches overnight while areas of Frankfort reported 4 inches and the Bowling Green area reported receiving 3 inches of sleet. He said another band Monday morning and could mean another inch of snow for much of the state.
Roadways on Monday morning were slick and snow-covered in many areas, even after snow plows went through.
Kentucky State Police urged motorists to use caution while traveling and keep a watch out for stranded drivers.
The weather also led school districts across the state to cancel classes.
