MARTIN COUNTY, Ind. (WHAS11) – An Indianapolis woman has been cited after a single-vehicle crash injured herself and four others Sunday morning.
Police say the accident happened near U.S. 231 at Truelove Church Road when 30-year-old Brandy Nobbe was traveling southbound losing control of her vehicle.
According to the report, Nobbe crossed the northbound lane leaving the roadway ending up in a ditch and striking a utility pole.
Nobbe, her adult passenger 39-year-old Angel Royer along with three children were injured in the crash. Nobbe suffered a fractured spine while the remaining passengers were treated at Jasper Memorial Hospital and later released.
Upon further investigation, police say Nobbe tested positive for a controlled substance.
She was cited with operating while intoxicated with minor passengers and speeding too fast for weather conditions.
Police say Royer was also wanted in Daviess and Spencer Counties for check deception.
Royer is currently booked at Daviess County Jail.
