LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) -- Simpsonville residents are concerned about a proposal for an outlet mall just off I-64.

The Outlet Shoppes of Louisville would be just off the Simpsonville exit, and would take up more than 350,000 square feet. During Tuesday night's Triple S Planning and Zoning Commission meeting, people expressed their concerns over traffic, safety and the change to their rural community.

Representatives for the developer, Horizon Group Properties, said with improvements traffic can be manageable. They also encouraged people to look at the positive impacts the project would make. They said it would be a $75 million investment, and it would bring thousands of jobs to the area.

The zoning commission unanimously voted to table the project until August so they can review all the studies and comments.
