LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11)—The Shively branch of the public library will be closed for the next three months as renovations begin on the building.
The library closed on Saturday and will not be open until around April when renovations are complete.
Included in the renovations is a new separate entrance, upgraded heating and cooling systems, new carpets and ceilings and a new family restroom.
The library is also getting more public computers to ease the wait time they currently have.
The Metro Council and City of Shively are helping to pay for the project.
