LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) -- A motorcyclist was killed Sunday evening after crashing into a Ford Taurus at Highway 22 and Springcrest Drive.
Police responded to the accident at Brownsboro Road and Springcrest Drive shortly before 8 p.m.
Police said a white male driving a motorcycle hit a Ford Taurus. He was taken to University Hospital where he was later pronounced dead.
Louisville Metro police spokesperson Dwight Mitchell said wet roads may have been a factor in the crash.
"The road appears to be very slick in this area right now," Mitchell said. "Although, it has not been raining heavily it has been drizzling, and it is very slick even as we are standing here now. According to witnesses, it did not appear the motorcyclist was going fast by any means. Unfortunately, the operator of the motorcycle lost his life. "
The two people in the Taurus were not injured.
Police do not anticipate filing any charges.
Police said the motorcyclist was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.
