LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) -- A woman accused of stealing over half a million dollars from two local businesses learned her fate Tuesday.

Latrisha Riedling, former Chief Financial Officer for Glassworks and Architectural Glass Art, Inc. is accused of embezzling more than $700,000 from the two companies over a six year period.

The thefts caused the founder/owner, Ken Von Roenn to have to sell Glassworks and he lost his retirement savings.

Riedling entered an Alford plea and will pay some of the money back. An Alford plea is when the defendant does not admit to committing the crime but will admit that the prosecution can likely prove the charge. She was sentenced to 10 years in jail, but will be eligible for parole after serving 80 days behind bars.
