HENRYVILLE, Ind. (WHAS11) – A home improvement contractor accused of ripping off victims of the Henryville tornado has pleaded not guilty.

Karl Wray pleaded not guilty to home improvement fraud and theft charges stemming from work he was allegedly paid for then failed to on four homes – including two that were damaged in the March tornadoes.

Wray has been in jail since he was arrested Wednesday at his Sellersburg home.

In a probable cause affidavit, a former Indiana State Police trooper says Wray overcharged him more than $2500 for a roofing job after the tornado hit.
