SCOTT COUNTY, Ind. (WHAS11)—Scott County School District Two in Indiana is still figuring out how to make up all of the snow days they’ve accumulated during this white winter.
In a poll of parents, students, and teachers, over fifty percent surveyed in Scott County.
Tuesday night the school board voted unanimously to extend the school day by one hour starting Monday, February 24 and returning back to a regular schedule Monday, April 14. The last day of school will be June 6.
The decision may also impact extracurricular activities, like Tuesday’s JV boys basketball game where Scottsburg hosted Paoli.
Paoli's school superintendent said that his district is one of a number in Indiana who has been able to use scheduled snow days and other off days to make up missed class time. But at this point they've got none to spare.
