"I think the pranks went too far this year... it should have been toned down a little bit. They took it way too far," said one Manual High School student.

According to Male High School students, it started last weekend. With a pile of manure in the parking lot near the football field, and spray painted curse words on the field.

Then early Thursday morning Male High School students went to Manual High School and spray painted a bus, tables in the courtyard, and the softball concession stand. Students also placed six toilets with waste in them in the courtyard.

"It's cool having pranks, but they took it extremely far this year, with the pranks that they did," said another Manual High School student.

We were told NOT to talk to Male High School students during their pep rally, but plenty have called the station, upset that their peers have been suspended, but no one's been disciplined for what happened to them.

"We don't know for sure if it was actually Manual students who got this started. I think there are some assumptions that that's the case. And that may be how this whole thing got started in the first place. But we'll continue to investigate," said JCPS Spokesperson Lauren Roberts.

Manual students say suspensions may have been harsh. However, these pranks only makes the game more exciting.

"It's all in good fun, jokes back and forth and stuff, I don't think anyone should be expelled for it, cause no one was hurt. I understand why they were upset, but it's not that serious," said another Manual High School student.

"I'm excited they pulled the pranks off because it's just going to make the game that more fun," said another Manual High School student.

"I think it makes it more fun. There are senior pranks at the end of the year, so this is fun too. It's just another prank," said a Manual High School student.

Lauren Roberts with JCPS says there was quite a bit of damage done and some vehicles have to be re-painted.

In terms of how long these students will be suspended, Roberts says it could be anywhere from 6 to 20 days. But she says administrators are talking to their parents.

Male parents have called our station and said, they've not heard from any administrators. They say they've been told a decision on the length of the suspension won't be made until Monday night.
