CLARK COUNTY, Ind. (WHAS11) – A southern Indiana woman who faked an illness is facing charges in another county.
Police say Teryn Applegate has been charged with theft in Clark County.
Applegate was arrested in June after investigators say she told family members she had terminal brain cancer but didn’t.
Communities in Clark and Harrison Counties rallied around her and held fundraisers.
Police say she pocketed the money.
The 27-year-old mother of 3 is already charged in Harrison County for fraudulent activity.
