JEFFERSONVILLE, Ind. (WHAS11) -- A southern Indiana lawmaker plans to sponsor a pain clinic bill after a controversial pain-management clinic recently opened in Jeffersonville.
Neighbors of the clinic on east Maple Street are concerned the clinics can become a way for drug abusers to get prescription medication.
Senator Ron Grooms, a republican from Jeffersonville, says he'll co-author the bill that would require the owners of Indiana’s pain clinics to be licensed physicians.
