LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11)-- After nearly 200 pairs of shoes were stolen from a storage unit on October 28, the Bardstown Rotary Club is reporting they have now collected more than 500 pairs of shoes to donate to children in need.

Most of the stolen shoes were returned after Nelson County Sheriffs arrested Brandon Humphrey.

Additional donations from the community enabled the Rotary Club to surpass their goal of 300 pairs of shoes and accumulate 524 pairs.

WHAS11 first aired the story when the shoes were stolen.  If you would like to help, you can drop off donations in Bardstown at Medica Pharmacy, Kentucky Standard or by calling 498-4447.
