LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) – Results have been revealed after residents who live near the closed Black Leaf chemical site after the discovery of contaminated soil.
53 residents in the Park Hill neighborhood took park in arsenic and lead testing to see if contaminated soil had impacted those who live nearby. Only two people were found to have abnormal chemical levels.
Those who conducted the research say they’re satisfied with the results but day there are limits to the data.
66 out of the 68 lots near the plant that are eligible for soil cleanup have been treated so far.
