(WHAS11) - The bell may sound the same but the kettle definitely is not.
On Wednesday, the local Salvation Army will put out new kettles that will take a credit or debit card.
You'll swipe your card then put the receipt in the kettle instead of coins.
The Salvation Army says it's hoping to help a record number of people this year and is trying to make it easier for you to give.
The new kettles will be used at three local Kroger’s: Westport and Hurstbourne and Eastgate and Brownsboro Road in Prospect.
