LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11)-- In a study done earlier this year, The Kentucky Division of Water found double the amounts of bacteria in Floyd’s Fork compared to studies done a year ago.
The state agency has been accepting comments related to the report since its issue last month. Today will be the last day public comments will be accepted.
A report revealed high levels of either E-Coli or fecal coliform in eighteen different parts of Floyd’s Fork. These findings have caused some area streams in Jefferson, Bullitt and Henry counties to be deemed unsafe for swimming, boating or wading.
