LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) – A Louisville man accused of killing his ex-girlfriend and two young children faced a judge Monday morning in a pre-trial hearing.
John Devine is accused of the shooting deaths of Sade Goldsmith, 6-year-old John Devine Jr. and 5-year-old Jontee.
The crime took place last July at their home on Maravian Drive in the Pleasure Ridge Park neighborhood.
Police say Devine tried to commit suicide by shooting himself.
The prosecution has requested more time to gather forensic evidence. His next court date is set for February.
