(WHAS11) - The woman who was shot by a Deputy U.S. Marshal in a case of mistaken identity will not face any charges.
In February 2009, U.S. Marshals were looking for a suspect when they thought they spotted him at Thornton’s on Crittenden drive.
23-year-old Courtnie Pruitt from Glasgow, Ky, who was pregnant at the time, was shot in the arm.
Authorities later admitted they had the wrong people.
Pruitt was originally charged with marijuana possession.
Those charges have now been dismissed.
