LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) – An incident of road rage ending in a man’s death still has police looking for more details and answers Sunday.

Louisville Metro Police arrested 67-year-old Donald Hayes and charged him with murder Saturday.

WHAS11 has learned Hayes has been released on $10,000 bond.

Hayes’ criminal history only reveals this incident and according to the police report, the incident did occur at the Chase Bank in the 4200 block of Poplar Level Road.

“I think it actually started somewhere in the area. One of the vehicles in the area at the Chase Bank and there is broken glass there,” Officer Carey Klain said.

According to the Courier-Journal, the victim was found in his car bloody with a baseball bat between his legs.

Witnesses at CT Haircutters described what they saw.

“My boss told me that someone hit my truck. I came running out – there was a gentleman outside, blood coming out of his mouth, his eye swollen up real big. We immediately called 911,” barber Jason Miles said.

“He wasn’t responding. His face was covered – he was all covered in blood. So I don’t know what happened,” customer Kelly Hummelgard said.

The victim of the crime is 57-year-old Danny Wilson who resided in the 4200 block of Hickory View Drive. According to the coroner, Wilson passed away just after noon on Saturday at University Hospital from a gunshot wound.
