LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) -- A frightening morning of déjà vu for multiple parents as they raced to 35th Street and Del Park Terrace after their children on board a Jefferson County Public Schools bus were involved in a crash.

Nearly two dozen Frost Middle School students were on board the bus. Many of those students were also involved another accident back in September 2012 that that sent more than 50 Frost Middle Schoolers to the hospital.

One worried parent at the scene said her heart dropped when she got the phone call Friday morning stating her two sons were involved in this latest bus crash.

“I immediately got nervous because the same thing happened last year...it just took me back because you never know what you are walking back into," Kathy Malone said.

Witnesses told police the driver of a small green car headed south on 35th Street ran a stop sign and hit the bus on its side.

Malone said her two sons did experience some soreness in their necks and her older son hit his face on the seat in front of him.

Four of the students on board were transported to Kosair Children’s Hospital by ambulance, while others were taken to the hospital by their parents.

The driver of the car refused treatment at the scene.

No serious injuries were reported
