Police seek public’s help in locating subjects involved in hit-and-run

CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) – The Campbellsville Police Department is currently requesting assistance in locating Dustin Carter and his accomplice known as “D”, who police said was involved in a hit-and-run auto accident.

According to police Carter struck Ashley Williams and her 18-month-old child, on South Central Avenue on Monday. Police said that Carter was backing out of a parking spot in a 2008 Honda sedan when he hit the victim and her child. Carter then pulled back into the parking space and fled the scene on foot with an unknown black passenger with the nickname of “D”. The third passenger, Tabetha Carter, remained at the scene and was arrested because of outstanding warrants. 

Williams and her child were transported by EMS to Taylor Regional Hospital for non-life threatening injuries. 

Campbellsville Police are asking the public for assistance on locating Dustin Carter and the black male passenger. Anyone with information can call 469-PRIDE if you wish to remain anonymous or call the Campbellsville Police Department at 270-465-4122.
