(WHAS11) -- Police are still searching for a gunman who killed 17-year-old Rico Robinson Jr. while he was riding a TARC bus on Route 23 on Monday afternoon.

“They don't care how it happened, where it happened or who saw it. They didn’t care. They just wanted my brother dead. That's all I know," said Drew Williams.

"They killed somebody's son. Somebody's best friend. Somebody's brother. They don't deserve to be out in this world," longtime friend, Shaliyah Berry, said.

Berry told WHAS11 Robinson was a student at Buechel Metropolitan High School and he rode TARC often. The bus stop where he died is about a mile from his school.

“Tragic. My brother fell victim to the streets. It wasn't supposed to happen,” said Williams.

Police are looking for three persons of interest - a female and two men (photos can be seen here). All three people were seen on the bus surveillance camera, but police have not yet said what the motive was or how the suspects may have known the victim.
