LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) -- Police are investigating an accident in Shively that left one woman dead and another woman injured.
According to Louisville Metro police spokesperson Carey Klein, two women in their 30's were traveling south on Seventh Street Road in a Chrysler Sebring when they lost control of their vehicle and slammed into an abandoned car around 8 a.m. Saturday morning.
According to police, one of the females died on the scene and the other female is at University Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
No one was wearing a seatbelt.
Police believe speed may have been a factor in the accident.
The investigation is still on-going.
