SEYMOUR, Ind. (WHAS11) -- Funeral services were held Tuesday for a 16-year-old girl, killed when the car she was riding in crashed into the White River. We have learned police found a stolen gun inside the car.
Brooke Hawn, 16, died last Wednesday. Police say she and another teenager were riding in a car driven by Tyler Ross, 18, when Ross took a curve too fast and the car plunged into the river.
Ross and another boy were able to make it out alive and Ross is now charged with reckless homicide.
The teenagers could face additional charges related to the stolen gun.
