BLOOMINGTON, Ind. (AP) -- Indiana State Excise Police cited 81 people -- including 78 minors -- at an underage drinking party near Indiana University's campus in Bloomington. Officers raided the party early Sunday morning after one of the residents sold a plainclothes officer a mixed drink for $5. A release from the excise police says state law requires a permit from the Indiana Alcohol and Tobacco Commission for the sale of alcoholic beverages. Police say officers found more than 100 people inside the home, including many hiding in the garage and basement. Seventy-eight minors were cited for illegal consumption of alcohol. Police say three residents were charged with furnishing alcoholic beverages to a minor. Those cited are to appear in Monroe Circuit Court in February.
