Police asking for help finding man considered armed and dangerous

Louisville, Ky. (WHAS11) - All Louisville Metro Police are asking for your help in finding a man who is considered armed and dangerous and is believed to have shot a man.
 

Police are looking for 26-year-old Victor Cartagena Ortiz.  He is wanted on attempted murder, wanton endangerment, stalking and violation of a protective order.
 

Police say he shot a man on November 1st in the 5900 block of Midnight Lane.  The man was friends with Ortiz's estranged wife.
 

"The shooting was very serious and the suspect was threatening to kill the victim and given that he threatened suicide, it’s possible that the risk has increase.  Otherwise he maybe someone with nothing to lose," says Anne Hogan of LMPD.
 

Ortiz is known to be in the area of Indian Trail in Louisville and in Jeffersonville, Indiana.
