Police also say Pitts has mental problems and was off her medication.
Pitts told the judge Tuesday that she was in fact not taking her medicine at the time of the alleged crime.
According to the incident report, after the alleged homicide, Pitts fled the scene with a baseball bat.
Police are getting surveillance video from a nearby Circle K that could be used as evidence.
