JEFFERSON CO., Ky. (WHAS11) -- Louisville Metro Police are searching for two gunmen after a Louisville man was shot multiple times during an argument Saturday night at the Springview Apartment Complex in the 100 block of Spring Creek Court.

Police say around 10 p.m. Saturday shots were fired inside a unit at the Springview Apartment Complex in the 100 block of Spring Creek Court off Newburg Road.

Police say the 23-year-old victim knew the shooters, and the fight may have started over drugs.

When asked for information about the shooters, LMPD Sgt. Clarence Marthet responded, "We just have two black males, that's all we have at this time. We do believe more information will be forth coming."

Police say the two suspects left the scene together.

The victim was shot three times - in the abdomen, chest, and leg - and is recovering at University Hospital.
