LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) -- A 23-year-old Louisville man is facing theft charges after he was accused of stealing from a local business.

According to an arrest warrant, Andre Wells entered the Dr. Bizer's Vision World in Shivley and requested a job application.  After turning in the application, witnesses told police he then asked for a vision exam and when the attendant turned away, Wells took three pairs of sunglasses worth nearly $500.

Employees said they asked Wells to stop, but he refused and left the business without paying for the sunglasses. Employees said they later discovered Wells was a former patient.

Police said a photo pack was shown to four witnesses and all positively identified Wells.

Wells is charged with theft by unlawful taking.
