LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) – Louisville Metro Police are investigating a shooting which led to one person being shot and dropped off at a children's hospital emergency room Sunday evening.

Police say they received a call that a 55-year-old man had been dropped off at Kosair Children’s Hospital with multiple gunshot wounds around 6:30 p.m.

After further investigation, police say the actual shooting happened in the 800 block of Louis Coleman Drive inside the Parkland neighborhood after an apparent altercation between the victim and the suspect.

Police add that the suspect shot the victim multiple times and fled. His whereabouts are unknown.

The victim was transported to University Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
