LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) -- The coroner has identified a man who was dropped off at a hospital early Saturday morning as 25-year-old Christopher Jones.

Jones was shot once and brought to Kosair Children’s Hospital by a man and a woman, who quickly left without giving any details about what happened.

Jones died at the hospital at 4:22 a.m. Police have not ruled this investigation as a homicide at this time. Jones celebrated his 25th birthday Monday. His friends describe him as a very generous man.

“He was all around a fun person/ he made jokes. He made you laugh,” friend Gabriela Jaramillo said.

Jaramillo said she found out about Jones’ death on Facebook and thought it was a joke. Now, Jaramillo said reality is still sinking in.

“It’s kind of hard to believe, it feels like a dream. It feels like that to everybody,” Jaramillo said.

Police are still investigating where Jones was shot and why. Police are looking to talk to the two who left him at the hospital.

Police said the man and woman left in a light color car.

Anyone with information is asked to call 502-574-LMPD.
