LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) -- Police arrested a man on charges of assault and robbery after they say he got into a physical altercation during a "transaction."
According to a police report, Davonte Richardson, 19, met with another person for a "transaction." The report says after the victim gave Richardson money, Richardson gave the victim an empty bag.
Richardson then struck the victim in the head with a handgun, according to the report. There was then a physical struggle and the victim was shot in the arm with the handgun.
The report says Richardson fled the scene before police arrived. The victim was then transported to University Hospital for treatment.
Richardson has been charged with first degree robbery and assault.
