Police: Man arrested after admitting to thefts from UPS trucks

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11)-- Louisville Metro Police report a man was arrested after admitting to stealing merchandise from UPS trucks.

According to police reports, Travis Rodriguez, 19, allegedly stole nearly $2,400 worth of items.  He worked as a shipping clerk at the UPS facility on Air Commerce Drive.

Rodriguez said he committed the thefts because he was having financial troubles, according to the report.

He was charged with theft.
