MUNCIE, Ind. (AP) -- Police have arrested a Muncie teenager who they say broke into home and shot a dog.
Nineteen-year-old Christopher Dent II was being held under $25,000 bond Saturday at the Delaware County Jail. He faces preliminary charges of burglary while armed with a deadly weapon and animal cruelty. The online jail registry didn't say whether he has an attorney.
Police tell The Star Press (http://tspne.ws/1xPlq0P ) Dent and two other men kicked in the door of a home on June 22, and that Dent then used a handgun to shoot the dog, a young Pit Bull.
Once police found the dog, it was taken to a local animal hospital where its wounds were treated.
One of the other suspects said the dog hadn't been aggressive.
