LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) – Louisville Metro Police are officially investigating the crime scene where a man’s body was discovered in a home Thursday afternoon as a homicide.
The coroner said the victim has been identified as 38-year-old Levelle Richards. Police said Richards was found in a home in the 1800 block of Gregg Avenue in the Algonquin neighborhood around 5:30 p.m.
The call originally came in as a man down, but when investigators arrived at the scene it quickly turned into a homicide investigation.
Authorities have determined that the victim died as a result of a gunshot wound.
The coroner said Richards lived in the 1800 block of Gregg Avenue, where the shooting happened.
Officials said they have made no arrests and have no suspect or motive at this time. Nor do they know who found the body.
