(WHAS11) - An 18-month-old boy is listed in critical condition after being found floating in a pool Tuesday night.
Police say the boy was found in his backyard in an above ground pool in the 7900 block of Sandalwood Court in Okolona. He was transported to Kosair Children's Hospital a short time later.
Police are calling this an accident.
If you have a pool or visit pools regular during the summer, please remember to:
- keep your child within arms reach
- fence it in or remove the ladder for above ground pools
- don't leave enticing toys in the water
