CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (AP) -- Police say two men found shot to death in a Clarksville apartment were a Fort Campbell soldier and his father and the deaths are being investigated as a murder-suicide.

Clarksville police found the bodies Sunday inside an apartment near the gates of the post on the Tennessee-Kentucky state line. According to a police statement, there were no signs of forced entry into the home.

The Leaf Chronicle reported police have identified the victims as 22-year-old Emanuel Joseph Bluebird and his father, 51-year-old Norman Bluebird.

The younger Bluebird was a sergeant from Mitchell, S.D., assigned to the Headquarters and Headquarters Company, 1st Brigade Combat Team, 101st Airborne Division at Fort Campbell, according to Fort Campbell spokeswoman Kelly Tyler.

He joined the Army in March 2004 and arrived at Fort Campbell in August. He has deployed to Iraq and Afghanistan, but with a previous unit before he came to Fort Campbell, Tyler said.
