KSP: Suspect vehicle in Nelson Co. murders caught on camera

NELSON CO., KY. (WHAS11) – Kentucky State Police investigators are asking for more help from the public in identifying potential suspects in the murders that occurred on April 21, 2014 at approximately 8:00 p.m. in Nelson Co.

At about 8 p.m., a 2006 or newer, four door, black Chevrolet Impala was seen traveling Northbound on U.S. 150 from the Botland community into the city limits of Bardstown. 

KSP believes the occupant or occupants of this vehicle are suspect(s) and are requesting help in identifying who they are. 

Forty-eight-year-old Kathy Netherland was a special education teacher at Bardstown Elementary School. 

Netherland and her daughter were found dead on Tuesday, April 22. 

Based on investigations and autopsies performed Wednesday morning, April 23, at the State Medical Examiner’s Office, both deaths are being ruled as homicides.  The cause of death will not be released at this time.
