(WHAS11) -- A new online petition aims to establish a federal holiday honoring Muhammad Ali.
That petition was posted Thursday morning on the White House website. The petition wants to designate January 17, Ali's birthday, as Muhammad Ali Day.
The goal is to get 100,000 signatures before February 16, 2013.
