INDIANAPOLIS (WHAS11) – Indiana Governor Mike Pence is riding through the state’s countryside on a 2009 Harley Davidson with hundreds of others for the 9th annual Governor’s Motorcycle Ride.
The governor left from the state house Friday morning on a 100-mile trip.
Former Governor Mitch Daniels started the event in 2005 to promote motorcycle safety and raise money for military families.
Pence plans to stop in Rushville and Connersville before ending the ride at eastern Indiana’s Whitewater Memorial State Park.
The Motorcycle Training and Safety group of Indiana helped organize the ride.
