LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) – Parking plans were put into action at Valhalla on Monday, Aug. 4,

Before you make your way to Valhalla this week, there are some things you need to know about the parking procedures.

General parking is free for PGA goers, but it will be located at Churchill Downs and Papa John's Cardinal Stadium where shuttles will take ticket-holders to Valhalla.

The shuttles will begin at 6:30 a.m. and continue until a half-hour after the gates close each day. It's estimated 30,000 people would be shuttled over the next few days.

The main thing to know: There will be no public parking at Valhalla and no walk-ins are allowed.

After the initial rush of people, at Churchill Downs and Papa John’s Cardinal Stadium, things weren't that busy, but that's expected to change as the tournament draws closer.
