LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) -- After two years of planning for the PGA Championship at Valhalla, the parking plan is in place.

The main goal is to ensure that all 250,000 spectators travel safely to and from the event which begins on August 4.

General parking is free for PGA goers, but it will be located at Churchill Downs and Papa John's Cardinal Stadium where shuttles will take ticket-holders to Valhalla.

The shuttles will begin at 6:30 a.m. and continue until a half-hour after the gates close each day.

The main thing to know: There will be no public parking at Valhalla and no walk-ins are allowed.
