LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) -- All the big-name golfers are in town for the PGA Championship, but so are their wives.

On Wednesday afternoon, some of the spouses teamed up with Blessings in a Backpack to plant a garden at a local elementary school.

The garden beds at Engelhard Elementary are full of various fruits, vegetables and flowers.

Students will be able to learn about different plants and what it takes to grow your own food.

Once the fruits and veggies are ready to harvest, they'll go home with students as part of Blessings in a Backpack.

The PGA Tour Wives Association likes to give back to each community they visit, specifically focusing on women and children.
