LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11)—The former owner of the now closed Butchertown restaurant, The Blind Pig, has filed a lawsuit against his former landlord and business partner.

Joe Frase is accusing Peyton Ray of writing checks to himself, taking money from cash drawers and using a debit card for personal use during his management of a bar called Meat, which was located above the once popular restaurant.

The lawsuit claims Ray interfered with business operations and failed in his duties as the restaurant’s partner.

When the case was last presented in court, a judge ruled in Ray’s favor and said the restaurant should have been evicted because it owed nearly $37,000 in back rent, insurance and other fees.
